Team Chips Adventure

TEAM CHIPS ADVENTURE

Founded in Uruguay in 2005, Team Chips Adventure (or simply "The Chips") was born from the adrenaline of pure competition during the D48 Paso de los Toros—a race that defined the adventure scene in Uruguay.

What started as an adventure race team focused on mastering mountain biking, trekking, and navigation soon evolved into a much more ambitious mission: to grow the community and bring the sport to a wider audience.

2007 marked a turning point when the team made the leap from competing to organizing with the creation of the XC Adventure Race in Colonia. What began as a local project scaled up to become a pillar of the Uruguayan Adventure Racing Ranking (RUCA) and the prestigious ARWS South America circuit. In 2022, after a decade of success, the event was officially declared of National Tourism Interest by the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism.

Today, looking beyond the finish line and operating under the identity of Adventure Club Uruguay, the group has evolved into an exploration community. They now guide new adventurers through expeditions that blend technical rigor with a deep, meaningful connection to nature.
